It is a largest athletic complex in Tenerife enclosed in a form reminding a volcanic crater. Designed by AMP Arquitectos it received several awards both for its aesthetics and numerous functions. Because here it's not the pitch and stands that makes a stadium. Only one stand for just over 3,000 people was built, but apart from it, the structure also contains thousands of square meters of space for athletes, both rooms and training facilities with as much natural light and ventilation as possible.

Accomodation is located 5km away in historical downtown in 750m from the beach.

Stadium doesn't work On Sundays and national holidays. Hammer throwing is allowed from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Discus: 11:00 to 12:30., from 15:30 to 17:00. from 19:00 to 20:00. Javelin: 12:30 to 14:00, 15:30 to 17:00 and from 20:00 to 21:00

The low altitude/coastal areas of the island have average temperatures of 18–20 °C (64–68 °F) in the winter months and 24–26 °C (75–79 °F) in the summer months. This area is suitable for all year round training.
